Te Whāriki (the New Zealand ECE curriculum) talks about relationships in regards to people, places and things. As you walk through our centre you physically see and hear who we are and what we are about. You feel the warmth of the people, the wairua (the spirit) of this place and the aroha (the love).
These unseen characteristics are just as important to us as the physical spaces and places.
You will notice the many ways children have opportunities to ‘be’ and ‘become’ in relationship with others. This may be with their teachers, their peers, their siblings, and with the natural and material things in their surrounding living and learning environments.
